In November 2020, the fourth Grand Ceremony of National Famous Doctor hosted by the People's Daily was held online. Professor Qiu Haibo, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Zhongda Hospital Southeast University, was awarded in the unit of "salute those who fight the epidemic".

　　Since the outbreak of pandemic early 2020, as an internationally renowned critical care specialist, Prof. Qiu rushed to the forefront of the Covid-19 affected area all over the country, from Jiangsu to Hubei, Heilongjiang, Jilin and Xinjiang.
