On the afternoon of February 3, 2021, Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission and the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Tanzania jointly organized an online exchange event on Jiangsu supporting Chinese-funded institutions in Tanzania and overseas Chinese to fight the epidemic. Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Wang Ke, Consul General Zhang Zhixuan in Zanzibar, and representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese attended the event. Medical experts and public health experts in Jiangsu Province sent knowledge and psychological support for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pneumonia to Chinese-funded institutions thousands of miles away and overseas Chinese online.

Huang Yingzi, vice president of Zhongda Hospital Southeast University and a well-known specialist in critical medicine, was invited to attend and give a lecture on epidemic prevention science.

Yang Jing, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, said in his speech that Jiangsu and Tanzania have maintained good cooperation and exchanges, and Jiangsu has sent a total of 30 medical teams and 761 medical professionals, which has become a vivid illustration of building the shared health community of China and Africa. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19, Jiangsu and Tanzania watch out for each other, carried out sophisticated and efficient anti-epidemic cooperation, the Jiangsu provincial government donated 300,000 masks to Zanzibar, the local enterprises and medical teams are also actively raising medical supplies to help Tanzania to fight the epidemic.

Professor Huang Yingzi served as the head of Jiangsu's Medical Treatment and Expert Team to guide the treatment of severe patients in Huangshi, Wuhan. In this online conference, Professor Huang Yingzi gave an accurate answer to the epidemic prevention and control concerns of overseas Chinese in Tanzania. Combined with the treatment method and bedside experience, she taught the method of self-diagnosis, identified the basis for judging minor and severe diseases, and other related problems. On the other end of the screen, the Tanzanian overseas Chinese representatives frequently nodded and praised Professor Huang Yingzi's answers as both professional and precise and easy to understand.

At the end of the event, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Wang Ke thanked the hosts, saying that the video exchange was very timely, not only clearly taught the scientific prevention and control response measures, but also bring confidence and strength to overcome the epidemic.
