On the morning of October 13th, Professor Paul White, Deputy Dean of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmacy at Monash University, Australia, accompanied by Professor Han Sifei of China Pharmaceutical University, visited Zhongda Hospital, Southeast University. Professor Li Ling, Assistant Dean of Zhongda Hospital, Professor Shao Hua, Director of the Department of Pharmacy Zhongda Hospital, Dr. Hu Linlin, Deputy Director of the Office of Drug Clinical Trial Institutions, Dr. Zhang Xueli, Assistant Director of the Department of Pharmacy, Ma Jing of the International Cooperation Office, Professor Zhu Xinjian, Director of the Department of Pharmacology of the School of Medicine of Southeast University, and relevant personnel attended the meeting. The two sides had friendly and in-depth exchanges on talent training methods and the development of scientific research projects.

Assistant Dean Li Ling extended a cordial welcome to Professor Paul White, introduced the history and overview of Zhongda Hospital Southeast University, she said that our hospital always focuses on the international development strategy, in order to improve the hospital's innovation ability and medical level, we encourage international cooperation and exchanges, and hope to establish more in-depth cooperative relations with international high-level universities and hospitals. Shao Hua, Director of the Faculty of Pharmacy, introduced to Professor Paul White the teaching, scientific research and talent team construction of the Faculty of the Pharmacy department, put forward the preliminary idea of jointly training master's degree students in clinical pharmacy at Southeast University-Monash University Suzhou Joint Graduate School, and introduced in detail the five directions of clinical pharmacy research of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Professor Zhu Xinjian, Director of the Department of Pharmacology of Southeast University School of Medicine, introduced the main directions of the School of Medicine in basic pharmacology research and expressed his willingness to seek cooperation to cultivate talents.

Professor Paul White gave a detailed overview of Monash University's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, including undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes, and briefly introduced Monash University's international cooperation and exchange around the world. He showed great interest in the clinical pharmacy research direction of Zhongda Hospital and the pharmacology research direction of the Faculty of Medicine, especially emphasizing that the clinical pharmacy research direction of Zhongda has great similarities with the clinical pharmacy training direction of Monash University, and Professor Paul White expressed his positive willingness to further cooperate between the two sides.

In addition, Dr. Hu Linlin from the Office of Drug Clinical Trial Institutions and Dr. Zhang Xueli, Dr. Niu Yimin and Dr. Xie Jing from the Department of Pharmacy communicated with Professor Paul White on their research directions.

Southeast University and Monash University have a cooperative history of more than ten years, and the Southeast University-Monash University Suzhou Joint Graduate School was established in 2012 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China, and is the first Chinese-foreign cooperative school at the postgraduate level in China. In parallel with the Joint Graduate School, Monash University-Southeast University Suzhou Joint Research Institute is established to conduct multidisciplinary research and support the training of graduate students, especially doctoral students. In June this year, the 10th anniversary of the Southeast University-Monash University cooperation conference was just held in Suzhou. It is hoped that driven by the sustainable development vision of the two universities, Zhongda Hospital and Monash University will also deepen their cooperation to promote discipline construction, cultivate talents and better serve the Healthy China strategy.
