The Delegation of Mardaleishvili Medical Group from Georgia visited Zhongda Hospital

On the morning of June 5th, at the invitation of Academician Teng Gaojun's team, Dr. George Loladze, founder and director of the Georgia Mardaleishvili Medical Center, and Dr. Tinatin Dundua, director of the Breast Center, visited Zhongda Hospital Southeast University. Teng Gaojun, Director of Zhongda Hospital, along with Vice Director Shen Yang, Director of the Clinical Laboratory Wu Guoqiu, and personnel from the Departments of ICU, Interventional Medicine, General Surgery, Biobank, and Office of International Cooperation, participated in the sit-down discussions. 

George Loladze and his delegation first visited the Interventional Surgery Room and the ICU Department. In the Interventional Surgery Room, Dr. Lu Jian introduced the development history, equipment, and scale of the Interventional Medicine Department at Zhongda Hospital. The visitors showed great interest in the advanced equipment and discussed specialized treatments for certain diseases. Following this, Dr. Xie Jianfeng from the Intensive Care Unit led the visitors on a tour of the leading national Intensive Care Unit, where he introduced the hospital's pioneering CCRRT system (Critical Case Rapid Response Team), designed to quickly identify and rescue critically ill patients within the monitoring range. 

During the meeting, Academician Teng Gaojun extended a warm welcome to George Loladze and his delegation, inviting them to participate in the upcoming ISMIO conference in Suzhou. Dr. George Loladze introduced the overview of the country of Georgia and the founding vision and development process of the Mardaleishvili Medical Center. He highlighted their leading regional position in cord blood preservation, stem cell treatment for autism, and cancer treatment and research, expressing a desire to engage in further medical, educational, and research cooperation and exchange with Zhongda Hospital. 

It is reported that the Mardaleishvili Medical Center is the largest oncology medical center in Georgia, housing the largest regional cord blood bank and planning to build a new 200-bed facility in the near future.
